Day 1: Cusco – Chinchero – Moray – Maras – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
We will start early from Cusco at 07:00 A.M and head towards Chinchero, located at 3,762 meters. We will explore its colonial church, vibrant market, and stonework from Inca times. The views of snow-capped peaks and green valleys will inspire us.
We will continue to Moray, an Inca site famous for its circular agricultural terraces. Each terrace has a different microclimate, showing Inca agricultural mastery. We will walk around the site and take photos of its unique design. Our guide will explain how the Incas used this place for crop experimentation.
Next, we will visit the Maras salt mines tour, located at 3,000 meters. We will see over 3,000 salt pools that locals still use. The white contrast against the brown hills creates a spectacular scene. We will learn about the salt extraction process, unchanged for centuries.
We will travel to Urubamba for a delicious lunch before heading to Ollantaytambo. This ancient town has Inca streets and a fascinating history. In the afternoon, we will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes.
We will enjoy river views, lush vegetation, and towering mountains during the journey. At night, we will rest in our hotel in Aguas Calientes.

We will wake up early and take a 30-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu, located at 2,430 meters . As we arrive, we will witness the morning mist lifting from the ancient citadel. We will start our guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
We will explore the most important temples, plazas, and terraces. Our guide will explain the history, legends, and engineering skills of the Incas. We will have time to appreciate the panoramic views and take unforgettable photos.
After the tour, we will enjoy free time to explore more areas or simply relax. We may also hike to the Sun Gate for an elevated view of the citadel. In the afternoon, we will take the train to Ollantaytambo and then a bus back to Cusco. We will arrive in the evening, ending our two days tour.
